Dan Bishwakarma, MD
Dr. Dan Bishwakarma completed his residency training in Family Medicine at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center (affiliated with Weill-Cornell University), New York in 2008, where he had the prestigious opportunity to serve as the chief medical resident. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physician and American Medical Association and is board certified in family medicine.
Having trained in metropolis New York, Dr. Bishwakarma has been exposed to a diverse patient population. He believes in health prevention and patient education, as well as engaging family support in the care of patients. Dr. Bishwakarma has knowledge of modern allopathic medicine and believes in the benefits of complimentary and alternative medicine in the treatment of illnesses. |

Van Anh Nguyen, MD
Dr. Nguyen is a native of Vienna, Virginia and attended James Madison High School where she graduated salutarian. Dr. Nguyen attended George Mason University on full scholarship as a George Mason Scholar, graduating with a B.S. in Biology. She received her Doctorate in Medicine from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine (formerly Medical College of Virginia) in Richmond, VA, and completed her residency training at the University of Maryland’s Family Medicine program in Baltimore, MD.
Prior to joining Family Medicine of Oakton in summer of 2008, Dr. Nguyen worked at NOVA Medical and Urgent Care Center in Ashburn, VA. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Medicine and the American Medical Association. Dr. Nguyen is board certified in Family Medicine.
Dr. Nguyen enjoys building long-term, satisfying relationships with her patients. Her goal is to provide quality, comprehensive, and compassionate medical care. She believes in patient education, preventative care, and in-depth evaluation and treatment. Dr. Nguyen strives to actively involve her patients in their medical care and decision-making process to promote improved quality of life, health, and wellness. Thien M. Do, MD, FACC, Cardiologist
Dr. Thien Do attended medical school at the George Washington School of Medicine in Washington, DC and completed his medicine residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. He completed his cardiology fellowship in the U.S. Army at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio and went on to serve as a staff cardiologist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in DC and at Malcolm Grow Hospital in Andrews Air Force Base as Major.
While at Malcolm Grow Hospital, he served as the director of the Coronary Care Unit, the Intermediate Care Unit, Pacemaker Implantation Service and as the director of the Non-invasive Lab. He was also the assistant teaching professor for the Uniform Services University of the Health Sciences as well as medical consultant for the NASA Mishaps Investigation Board. He holds a fellow status at the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
He is on staff at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. On his free time, he is director for the World Health Ambassador, which sends medical and dental teams abroad to treat underprivileged children and adults in desperate need of medical care. |

Thieu "Ted" Do, MD, Pulmonologist
Dr. Thieu "Ted" Do graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and attended medical school at the Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed his internal medicine residency program at the George Washington University Medical Center and pursued the combined fellowship of Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine at the Maine Medical Center. He is board certified in all three areas.
On completion of training, he practiced medicine at the new West Palm Beach VA Medical Center where he built up the ICU and Pulmonary division. His interest is in managing the most seriously ill patients and seeing that they are reunited with their families. |

Tom Thanh Do, DO
Dr. Thanh Do graduated from Cornell University and attended the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu and finished residency training in emergency medicine at Bi-County Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Do spent five years serving in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Major. He spent a year in Tikrit, Iraq as brigade surgeon and stationed in South Korea, Ft. Hood, and the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Dr. Do is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, a member of the American Osteopathic Association and American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians. |
